World Series of Hip Hop in association with SMACK DVD & MoTV presents The $100,000 Main Event

New York, NY – On September 27, 2008, World Series of Hip Hop (WSOHH) in association with SMACK DVD and MoTV proudly present The $100,000 Main Event featuring three epic battles, each for $25,000. WSOHH chairman, Furqaan Clover has been working diligently to bring together 6 of the top battle rappers for this historic event.

The first of the $25,000 competitions features battle rap champion Murda Mook vs. Philadelphia's most celebrated underground rapper Young Hot. Video clips from Murda Mook have surfaced on Youtube where he talks about the other artists who backed down from this challenge before Young Hot stepped up to the plate.

The Female Division match for $25,000 features Fight Klub legend and former Def Jam artist Lady Luck of the FEM (Females Earning Money) Movement vs. VH1's recently crowned Miss Rap Supreme Rece Steele. Lady Luck and Rece Steele recently appeared together in an exclusive interview with DJ Famous to officially announce this highly anticipated battle.

The $25,000 grand finale features Bad Boy recording artist E. Ness vs. the self-proclaimed General of New York, Mysonne of Bang Bang Boogie. Anticipation for this match has been heightened by the recent posting of video clips from both artists on Youtube and Worldstarhiphop where they discuss the upcoming battle.

Kicking off the night will be the $10K undercard match featuring Tech 9 vs. T-Rex.

The $100,000 Main Event will be webcast live from an undisclosed location on September 27th at 5PM EST exclusively at www.wsohh.com. For the first time ever, the public will decide the winners of each battle via text voting! Monie Love will host the event and all the battles will feature G-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid as referee.

This will be the first of many events from WSOHH including monthly battles with prize money for established artists as well as an annual event for all artists with a chance to win $1 million.
