1. Where are you from / where do you represent as an artist?

I was born and raised in Tooting (South London) but as I grew up, I travelled and had the opportunity to experience life in many different countries, something not everyone is given the opportunity to do. I am also partially Ethiopian and Eritrean, because my father is from there and I lived there for 5 years during my childhood.

2. How long have you been making music for? When did you drop your first song?

I have been making music for just over a year now and it’s something that’s become more than just a hobby to me. After releasing a couple of songs in the year 2020, I realised I really enjoyed it and could be good at it, and I thought if I worked to my fullest potential that this could become a future career of mine.

It began in middle school, where my friends and I would have freestyle battles against each other. We had fun, but I never took it seriously enough to think I could actually do something more with it. Anyways, one day a friend of mine told me I needed to get on a microphone and record an actual song, which we did but it took at least a couple of months to find the right equipment, improve my vocal skills, and figure out everything else before we could produce something decent. The first couple of songs we made were horrible but I remember them more as fun and new experiences.

I released my debut song “Lonely” (featuring Sophie) on April 11th in 2020, which up to this date has reached above 13,000 views on Spotify. I had a couple of songs before this one but at the time I only released on the Soundcloud platform.

3. If you had to Describe your style/ genre in a sentence or 2 how would you do that?

Growing up, my friends and I always listened to R&B or Hip Hop tunes. I really got into artists like Lil Tjay and A Boogie, young but very talented, vibrant and inspiring artists from New York. I believe listening to the both of them really helped influence my style and the artist that I’ve become today. Over the years, my music taste began to expand and now I listen to music from all over the world.
