In this exclusive interview, the pride of Youngstown, Ohio discusses his solo album Ballin' Since Birth.
The album features include the legendary Sadat X, of Brand Nubian, Warner Bros. recording artist, Wiz Khalifa, and Affluent Records label-mate, Kenny Ali.

The Ohio hip-hop scene has had its share of representatives from Bone Thugs all the way to Ray Cash. Where do you feel you fit into the Ohio hip-hop map?

I fit right into the club scene, I'm the new face of the club.

You were able to land some big time cameo appearances on your album. What was it like working with Sadat X? Did you learn any pointers from him?

Working with Sadat X was amazing. He's a veteran with more knowledge than any other rapper I've met. He just told me to keep doing what I do best, making these club hits. He basically assured my motto of, "Stick to your job!"

What would be considered a "success" for this project in your eyes?

A success would be if one person bought the album, and my music somehow changed or influenced that one person's life in a positive way. That's all I could ask for.

How do you feel the internet has changed the hip-hop game?

The internet has changed the hip-hop game in so many ways, but it's really helped artists on the come-up to get signed. Hell, that's how I was found, on My Space and another site.

What lessons did you learn on this debut project and how will you improve going into the next album?

I learned that the music industry is quite a different business, where if you blink for one second, you'll be lost in the crowd. I'm going to improve by staying on my constant grind and recording daily.
