Baltimore Hip Hop's Online Destination for Self-Made Entrepreneurs

Breathing life into once simple words, and turning them into content filled rhythmic verses. Keoni Seau, or as we all know him, Oni Montana, the self proclaimed Polynesian Prince, (which happens to be the title of his up coming album) thrives off the influences and creativity he received from Bay Area rapper’s such as the late Mac Dre and Tha Jacka.

Oni Montana, a single father of a beautiful 8 years old girl grew up in Pittsburgh California, an east bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Since middle school, Oni Montana has been fulfilling his yearning to entertain with his gifted rhythmic speech and street vernacular by selling his mixtapes to his fellow classmates. Besides his natural niche for the art of story telling, and word play. Being the nephew to members of the legendary west coast gangster hip-hop group, Boo Yaa Tribe, out of Carson California. Oni had been exposed to the entertainment industry early on. He would watch his uncles in revere and gain increasing interest in the music industry. He took this opportunity to learn as much as he could from them including going to some of his first studio seasons with his uncles and learning about the rap industry in general.

Oni Montana is signed to Thizz Island Entertainment a branch off of the late Mac Dre’s Thizz Entertainment record label. Thizz Island aims to pay homage to and carry on the late Mac Dre’s legacy in addition to expanding the dream to all cultures alike.

Oni’s Style of music in my opinion can be compared to that of Drake’s, of Young Money Entertainment, in that Oni’s style is somewhat genre bending. He knows how to smoothly synthesize hip-hop and R&B. Yet on the flip side, and perhaps not to be compared to Drake, Oni Montana has a much rougher side to him than some would assume, or imagine. Through his songs you can hear stories of the pain he experienced losing his older brother in a very traumatic fashion, at a young age, thus, being one of the many drives behind his passion to succeed.
