Guru Set to Release 8.0 Lost and Found

Guru continues to add to his body of work with the 7 Grand partnership with producer Solar with the release of Guru's 8.0 Lost and Found. While many fans who are particularly attached to his groundbreaking work as the frontman of Gangstarr, his recent work has the lyricism, production quality, and consistency that fans have come to respect him for.
Solar adds, “8.0 represents that next level of growth; the next evolution of intelligent hip-hop.Lyrically and production-wise, it’s on another level.”

Guru is quick to point out that isn't a continuation of the Jazzmatazz series, the groundbreaking fusion of
hip-hop with live jazz, influencing the creation of Acid-Jazz and Neo-Soul sub-genres. “This is straight-up hip-hop elevated to a higher plateau, so it shouldn’t be compared to the Jazzmatazz series. The jazzier side is a part of who I am as an entertainer, but doesn’t define who I am as an artist or as a lyricist.”
