Brian Fender - "Florida Man"

Brian Fender is a multi talented artist from Pembroke Pines, Florida and is of Jamaican decent. His roots are a huge part of his style and musicality. He was introduced to Hip-Hop at a young age through his brother (rapper/ songwriter) TxTheWay. He still recalls his first memories of hearing Outkast and Lauryn Hill In 2001 which inspired him to pick up a pen. As he began to grow, he expanded his ear by and grew as an artist by joining his high school choir, drama club, learning instruments and uploading all of his mother’s CDs (Anita Baker, Stevie Wonder, Prince, James Brown, and so many more) to his music library. After graduating high school and with support and encouragement from his mother, he moved to New York to study musical theater and pursue a career as an actor. After finishing school and working on many music videos (Shaggy’s “GFY”, Santana’s “Breaking Down The Door”) Brian was hungry to take his music making to the next level. After taking a trip to LA and shadowing his brother, Fender returned to NYC with a fire in his gut. He has put much of his time and energy into creating music. He recently released his self produced, self recorded album ‘Florida Man’ which is available everywhere. This is only the beginning for Brian Fender.
