Steadfast Entertainment presents Talib Kweli in Tampa, Florida April 27th at the world famous Jannus Landing. Talib Kweli is what many describe as the "Real," as in "Real Hip-Hop." So it is no wonder that at the peak of their fame, both Jay-Z and 50 Cent named Talib Kweli as one of their favorite rappers; not to mention public intellectual Cornell West.
After establishing himself as a rap visionary with the group Black Star, Kweli along with long-time manager Corey Smyth launched Blacksmith Music. Since his stellar debut with Mos Def as Black Star, Kweli has been one of rap's most exceptional and consistent artists. Released in 2000, Reflection Eternal, the RIAA-certified gold album with Hi-Tek, was one of the most acclaimed albums of the year. In 2002, smash single "Get By," the biting political commentary "The Proud" and the insightful examination of America's gun culture on "Gun Music" made Quality a landmark recording and Kweli's second gold album. Subsequent recordings in 2004 (The Beautiful Struggle) and 2005 (Right About Now) solidified his status as one of rap's most talented and important voices.
Tampa based entertainment promotions company, Steadfast Entertainment is bringing the real hip hop; fan favorite- Talib Kweli to Tampa on April 27th. Steadfast recently hosted a blow out Las Vegas bash at the famed Studio 54 inside the MGM Grand with boxer Winky Wright and Grammy winner Common. Thousands packed into the Studio 54, following the Taylor –Pavlik fight and were treated to a special free-style from Common that no one could quit talking about. The show was opened by Pound for Pound Records, Rock/Pop recording group Radio Reset.
Local Tampa sensations Trax, Luci Fe and The Basiqs will have the opportunity to open up for Kweli. All are well-known independent artists' on the Tampa scene with a rising following. Combined they have opened up for artists such as James Brown, Krs-One and Lil Wayne.

About The Opening Acts
Luci Fe- The female sensation hip hop rapper, 22, is a Tampa resident by way of Philly currently. She has been rapping for seven years and her articulate lyrics & punch lines can be compared to some of hip hops greatest. She has opened for Trina, Juvenile, and Lil Wayne.
Trax- Is a Tampa native, who not only is an artist but also owner of "Above da Rest" Entertainment. Trax is a Tampa favorite; he has been an artist for 10 years, along the way opening for KRS-One, Big Pun and James Brown. His current single, dedicated to the troops 21 Gun Salute can be found on line.
The Basiqs - Since forming in 2005 The BASIQS have successfully mixed razor sharp lyrics with a soul and classic rock edge, to create a truly unique sound. With songs that encourage, empower, and inspire, GAGE, (Producer / Emcee) and Mr. Sin, (Emcee/ Crooner), have coined the term "Legacy Music" to describe their sound.
