CHICAGO – On the Street Promotions and Marketing announces the 2008 Global Mixx Music Retreat in Chicago. This year the GMIXX '08 Music Retreat "Empower Yourself" will kick-off Friday, September 12th through Sunday, September 14th at various locations throughout the beautiful city of Chicago. The events will range from VIP 'invite-only' events, music seminars, a special luncheon, artist showcases, and high profile concerts, the GMIXX Awards and with the special finale the GMIXX "Rhyme & Soul" Music Festival.
Mary Datcher, Executive Producer and creator says this year's GMIXX Music Retreat will be more diverse and more defined with the cultural richness of Urban Music.
"This is our 4th year producing the GMIXX Music Retreat and we weather through the difficult challenges that the music industry face. We are here to "Empower" established music veterans and aspiring music professionals alike with the necessary survival tools to maintain their role in this rollercoaster business that we're in," she explains.
The Global Mixx Music Retreat is an exclusive music & marketing conference that educates and empowers the Urban Music community in a relaxed environment. Over the past three years, the Global Mixx has targeted the top club, street and radio mix show DJs from around the country and overseas to allow them to network among themselves and industry executives from various music and technology companies. It has grown to encompass recording artists, managers, producers, songwriters, marketing agencies, attorneys and various brands connecting into this exclusive 'trend influencer' gathering.
