Poetry Slam Competition hits the 5 Seasons Baltimore, MD with the opportunity for a talented spoken word artist to win $500 in prize money. The event will be hosted by Lamar Hill, of Def Poetry fame and success.

Indie Planet Programming Addition
After much deliberation, the Indie Planet TV crew has reached the conclusion that Spoken Word is lyricism at its finest, and must be added and included in our programming.

Note: This decision has nothing to do with the declining interest in hip-hop lyricism from rap fans, we just feel it's a genre that doesn't get much coverage outside of Def Poetry Jam and we want to test the waters.
