Baltimore Hip Hop's Online Destination for Self-Made Entrepreneurs
I’m from Deptford NJ. I grew up with my grandmother, my dad, various uncles and aunts, and other cousins. I started rapping at 15 with some classmates and people from the football team. I graduated from high school and joined the Air Force. From gospel lounges in church basements to the military, I’ve always been performing my music. After the military, I moved to Texas to be close to my son. Out there I met my homie from NY who put me on for a job at Hertz. There I met my homie from NJ, who heard my music and asked if he could represent me and push my music for me. He set me up for the ‘Demos and D’usse’ interview with Parnell Gervais and Rel Carter. I flooded them with as much music as I could with the time I had, and I guess they liked it enough.
The name of my Project is ‘Bases Loaded’ because I cover all bases when it comes to genres, flows, topics, and overall vibes. I picked ‘Say Bout Me’ because it’s a perfect description of where I’m at in my life. I talked about a lot of the stages that I went through, and now I’m at a stage where I couldn’t care less what anybody else thinks. I’m pursuing rap now I can’t see myself doing anything else. I spent a large part of my life just doing things to survive and get by. I owe it to my son and ultimately to myself to put my all into something that I love doing. Artists that I want to to work with in the future are Future, Tory Lanez, Chris Brown, Kehlani, Ty Dolla Signs. Some artists that inspire me are 50 Cent, Fabolous, Jay Z, Cassidy. In five years, I see myself established in the music and entertainment industry (acting included) and having my own production company, producing music and movies for artists like myself.
