Kimbi Tiez a.k.a Kimbi the Goddess is a one of a kind spiritual entertainment performance artist. Delivering a multidimensional experience through song and spoken word by utilizing elements of Hip-Hop, Soul, Blues, Classical and Jazz influences. She is a natural healer and a longtime teacher in the ancient eastern arts. Born year of the dragon, she is a native South Carolinian gal, who was molded and fashioned in N.Y.C. Kimbi was brought up in a world filled with an array of music and strong phenomenal women. Whether sitting in the church pews listening to her grandmother play the piano or silently taking in the melodies that her mother (a former lead singer of a funk infused band named "Freedom" in the 70's) sang passionately everywhere; Kimbi has music in her DNA. Doing what she loves, honing her performance skills on poetry stages, colleges, and a multitude of events throughout the US South East, Kimbi was destined to not remain hidden from the rest of the world. Who would have ever imagined that this little girl (with big old eyes, a big nose, big lips and knobby knees singing to her stuff animals) would grow into a Goddess with a story to write and sing about?!
