Is Rocky Fontaine The Future of Philly Hip-Hop?

Philadelphia hip-hop has a long line of MCs that have the called the City of Brotherly Love home.
From Schooly D, 3 X Dope, to Willie from West Philly (Fresh Prince), to the legendary Roots Crew and more.
After the Black Friday Management movement which brought us Eve, Beanie and more, as well as the State Property Chain Gang, Philly has been relatively quiet on a mainstream hip-hop level in terms of new artists delivering BIG records.
The new resurgence of Philly hip-hop is most definitely televised through numerous DVD releases which show young MC's spittin hundreds of bars shot in an "in-your-face" camera angle style that has become the Philly trademark.
Rocky Fontaine is making his name known outside of that circuit by making power moves uncharacteristic of an unsigned artist.
Fontaine has the records under his belt to make it, and obviously has the support of many throughout the industry as evidenced by his joint "Best In the City" which features Gillie and Maino.
He understands the power of having great visuals as his video "Real Like Me" is professionally shot and edited. He is well on his way but in his music and movement you can see that he reps Philly to the fullest.

He relocated to Atlanta and is in the midst of dropping his mixtape project entitled: Entourage Season 1 featuring a Beanie Sigel, Gillie Da Kid, Jasmine Sullivan, Bay Area's own Mista Fab, and The Game and Shawty L-O.
Below is some of his better work which includes his single Best In the City, his video for Real Like Me, and a freestyle. Is Rocky the future of a Philly hip-hop scene devoid of a new artist for quite some time....You be the judge. Leave comments below on the music and movement of Rocky Fontaine.

He definitely has found his own lane and swag without hopping all over the DVDs but delivering big records. He may re-define how Philly artists break into the game.
