Why the Hip-Hop Community Should Support Notorious

Although hip-hop is starting to grow in age and influence, there are very few major motion pictures that exist that attempt to depict our hip hop legends as heroes and/or people to be revered in mainstream society. Hip-Hop has always been an underground artform in the early days, so its a tragedy that the pioneers' stories will never be told.

Not only is this film telling the story of a man who would be hip-hop's king, but if you grew up in this era, it is telling YOUR story too. If you remember the moment you first heard "Who Shot Ya??", Flava In Your Ear Remix, Juicy, The What ft. Meth, Unbelievable, A Story to Tell, then B.I.G. provided a soundtrack for you to rock to during that moment in your life.

Whether Lil' Kim's comments swayed your opinion of the flick, or you thought Puff got a little too busy on the adlibs on Biggie's records or you thought Tupac was better is not as important as remembering somebody to put it down hard enough to make the history books.

Shouts to everyone who worked on the film.
