Native Brooklynite turned Hip-hop icon/mogul Jay-Z celebrates his birthday today.
He dropped a Dec 4th joint on The Black Album as well.

By hip-hop standards, Jay-Z is "old" and supposed to be washed up and done with this rap stuff.
Jay-Z is leading a new trend of hip-hop artists that are increasingly relevant as they grow with age.
His American Gangster tour sold out concert halls in minutes, while most rappers half his age
are one album and done.
He may be the first artist in the hip hop world to reach Rolling Stones/Madonna status where they
are touring giants long after their best work.
