808's and Heartbreak - Thoughts?

Kanye West has been through the range of emotions surrounding the death of mother and close friend Dr. West. Many have viewed his new album 808's and Heartbreak as his "therapy" and that may be the case as there is a hip-hop themed album dropping in mid-2009.
Musically, Kanye has embraced the auto-tune fad ushered in by T-Pain. A lot of his earlier conscious material isn't prevalent in his latest releases but my opinion is that fans mess with Kanye because he speaks from his heart on his records.
Die-hard Kanye fans have called the album an "evolution" and die-hard hip-hop fans have called the album "R&B". What are your thoughts on this album? Leave comments below.
