Inflowential Scores Top Three in MTVu's Best Music on Campus Competition

Inflowential has recently been voted into one of three first-place positions in mtvU's Palm Centro at AT&T Best Music on Campus "battle of the bands" competition at www.bestmusiconcampus.com. By making it this far, Inflowential has won the opportunity to play with Wyclef Jean, Flo Rida, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and The Spill Canvas at UMASS Campus Center Circle in Boston May 4 at 3:00pm as part of MTV's Campus Invasion tour. Although Inflowential is in first place, they continue to compete with the other two winners for a prize package of $10,000 in cash, free Palm Centro smartphones, service contracts from AT&T and a chance to host mtvU's "Dean's List," a top ten weekly college music countdown show.

Inflowential onstage will once again showcase their diversity as musicians and performers by playing a variety of hot new songs off their upcoming album. Slated for an independent release later this year, this album will be their debut album filled with progressive hip-hop music. The tracks are about life situations from relationships, to frustration, to overcoming. Be sure to check www.inflowential.com for news, updates, and free downloads and the youtube channel http://youtube.com/user/MECCArecords for new videos.

Inflowential has a laudable list of talents they have been fortunate to open for, including legends like Dead Prez, Doug E. Fresh, MC Lyte, Dana Dane. Other noteworthy accolades entail Winner of 2006 NCCU Hip Hop Summit/Atlantic Records Talent contest, with judging from Grammy award winning producer 9th wonder. Inflowential also is winner of the 2003 UNCW Habitat for Humanity Battle of the Bands, 2004 NC State University Battle of The Bands, 2007 Battle of the NC Hip Hop Bands, and their song "Belltones" #3 on Tribes Magazine's Myspace Top 24 Indie Artist Singles. With all these merits, it is no wonder Inflowential has been called "The Hottest Hip-hop band in N.C." by Wilmington newspaper Star-News (http://www.starnewsonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061005/COLUMNIST40/610050338/-1/columnist40).
Tickets for the Boston show are on sale now and can be bought through http://www.mtvu.com/uconnect/campus_invasion_tour/2008// or through ticketmaster.com. Ticket cost to see all these amazing acts is only $15.
