Houston, May 22, 2008 – The City of Houston celebrated OG RON C's 20th Year as a DJ in 2007. Included in the successful 20th Anniversary Celebration was a music conference, which will now serve as an annual event. The 2nd Annual OG RON C R.E.A.L Houston Music Conference is powered by Houston based DJ Coalition the GO DJs headed by DJ HI-C. The music conference will be held at Bar Rio from May 9 – 11, 2008 with pre events and artist showcases starting as early as Wednesday, May 7. Houston based Rap-A-Lot Records will host the official Welcome to Houston Party on Friday, May 9, 2008. The conference objective is to provide Resources, Education, Accessibility and keys to sustaining Longevity in the entertainment industry. Unlike most, the OG RON C R.E.A.L Houston Music Conference is a consumer based conference providing an outlet to promote established artists, introduce new artists in addition to educating potential entertainment entrepreneurs about the music business. The conference is sponsored in part by Rap-A-Lot Records, Interscope/IGA and Atlantic Records.
The living legend, OG RON C, is most notable known for co-founding Swisha House Records with Michael "5000" Watts, his Screwed and Chopped F-Action Mixtapes or the many screwed and chopped albums/songs including International Players Anthem; a screwed and chopped bonus track on UGK's Underground Kingz Album. OG RON C is currently working on the Screwed & Chopped Version of Bun B's II Trill Album and he recently released #50 of his F-Action Mixtape. #50, a five disc set, is the last installment of the famed mixtape series which included an exclusive set of Screwed and Chopped Rock songs.
