Fox followed up w/ her 1999 release, Chyna Doll, which is certified platinum.
After numerous well-publicized run-ins with the law, Foxy released Broken Silence in 2001, with lead single BK Anthem. This album displayed more of a Carribean influence
After debuting @ #5 on Billboard 200 it went on to become certified gold.
Impact
Foxy Brown introduced a flamboyance and braggadocious style in her lyrics and fashion that was never before seen from a female MC. Combine that with the raunchiness in her lyrics that prior to her was considered "un-ladylike".

Foxy Brown's emergence on the scene spawned a complete change in female lyrics and image across the industry. Foxy had many imitators and admirers. As female artists of the late 80's early 90's looked up to MC Lyte, Roxanne Shante, and Queen Latifah, today's artists looked at Foxy Brown for inspiration to carry the torch.
What do you say???? Can A Rapper from A Legendary Group W/ No Solo Albums Be Considered The Greatest??tag:iplanethiphop.ning.com,2008-10-09:2042258:Topic:71462008-10-09T20:45:50.000ZTony Jeffersonhttp://iplanethiphop.ning.com/profile/TonyJefferson
RUN or DMC, Chuck D, MC Ren, Dre 3000, Q-Tip, Black Thought, Bun B, Ceelo Goodie, 8-Ball are all legendary MCs that were members of ground breaking groups in hip-hop history.
The question is in the never-ending greatest MC debates that Hip-Hop fans argue over constantly, can an MC whose most notable projects have been classic group albums, be considered an all-time great for their contribution to them?
Peace. Looking back, Is MC Hammer a Pioneer or a Sellout?tag:iplanethiphop.ning.com,2008-10-08:2042258:Topic:71082008-10-08T15:59:47.000ZTony Jeffersonhttp://iplanethiphop.ning.com/profile/TonyJefferson
Was MC Hammer ahead of his time in his domination of music, cartoons, merchandising etc?
In 1992, MC Hammer had his own doll and cartoon in the era of the rise of Dre, Snoop etc.

He actually is the blueprint for today's 360 deal.

Was Hammer 'really' that bad when you look at the artists that are 'winning' today?

At least with Hammer he gave you a damn good show and he actually can rap.

-ooooor - was he just a sellout in the same bunch with Vanilla Ice and all the rest.
James Prince has been holding down the South throughout hip-hop's history.
